PROFID NEW PUBLICATION ON with BMJ Open

We are proud to announce the publication of a new manuscript related to the PROFID EHRA trial, titled:

“Economic evaluation protocol for the PRevention Of sudden cardiac death aFter myocardial Infarction by Defibrillator implantation: the PROFID EHRA trial.”

This publication outlines the economic evaluation framework for the PROFID EHRA trial, a European Union-funded, multi-centre study supported by the European Heart Rhythm Association. The trial is designed to compare optimal medical therapy (OMT) alone versus ICD implantation plus OMT for post-myocardial infarction patients with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The economic evaluation will assess both costs and health outcomes, supporting evidence-based decision-making for the prevention of sudden cardiac death in contemporary patient populations.
