In phase one of the development of the PROFID risc prediction model we analysed 19 datasets from Europe, Israel and the US, based on a collection of existing highly phenotyped data with the largest number of post-MI patients (~225,000 observations).
PROFID was featured prominently in two separate sessions at the European Heart Rhythm Association congress – EHRA 2022 in Copenhagen (3 April – 5 April 2022).
The 5th PROFID General Assembly Meeting took place on the 31st of March 2022 and involved 55 consortium members.
We are proud to announce that PROFID has been selected for a Late Breaking Science session at the EHRA 2022 congress in Copenhagen. Dr. Nikolaos Dagres will give a presentation on Sunday, April 3rd at 1:55 pm CET in Room 1.
Prof. Peek from the University of Manchester is leading Work Package 1 “Risk Score Development” of PROFID. Together with his team he analysed 19 data sets (from more than 200.000 patients) to develop a new model for predicting the risk of sudden cardiac death after myocardial infarction.
Patients can make a valuable contribution and improve societal impact through their engagement in research projects. In implementing its work, PROFID ensures that patients’ perspective is included through the project partner German Heart Foundation.
This year, PROFID had a presence at the European Society of Cardiology 2021 Congress during the session ‘Latest Science in Arrhythmias and Device Therapy’.
